Four casinos

Four casinos, their dining rooms

On Île Notre-Dame, in Jean-Drapeau Park, Casino de Montréal occupies the former French pavilion of Expo 67. It opened there on October 9, 1993, and later took over the former Québec pavilion. Loto-Québec names three restaurants inside: Le Montréal, Pavillon 67 and L'Instant. Le Montréal serves dinner Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Pavillon 67, the buffet, serves lunch every day until 2 p.m. and evening service Thursday to Sunday. L'Instant serves until 3:30 a.m. Monday to Thursday nights and without a break from Friday at 11 a.m. to Monday at 3:30 a.m. Restaurants, bars and the Cabaret du Casino, where shows run, are 18+, and original photo ID is required.

Casino du Lac-Leamy rises beside Leamy Lake in Gatineau, and the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel is its neighbour. Banco Bistro is the casino restaurant, 18+. It is closed Monday and Tuesday and serves Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday hours run from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. L'Instant, a deli and pasta restaurant on Level 1, is 18+ and serves Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight.

On Friday L'Instant opens at 9 a.m., on Saturday at 7 a.m., and both nights it serves until 3:30 a.m.; on Sunday it runs from 7 a.m. to midnight. The hotel has its own restaurant, open to all. Arôme, in the Hilton Lac-Leamy, serves every day from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. For a show, the Théâtre du Casino is also 18+.

Further up the mountain, on its Versant Soleil side, is Casino de Mont-Tremblant. Altitude is its restaurant, with reservations at 819-429-4192, and Bar Central serves fast food. Both admit people 18 or older only. Altitude serves lunch and dinner Thursday to Sunday.

Casino de Charlevoix, in La Malbaie, sits next to the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. Inside the casino, St-Hubert Signé Casino is 18+ and does takeout. It serves Sunday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Its Friday and Saturday hours are left out, since two published versions disagree.

Le Point Cardinal, Le Bellerive Café, Le Saint-Laurent and Le Bellerive are the hotel's restaurants, and anyone may dine there. Le Bellerive café opens at 6:30 a.m., and Le Saint-Laurent and Le Bellerive serve dinner until 9 p.m. Le Point Cardinal opens in golf season only, every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Every room named here is on the All restaurants page, with service hours where they are published.

Online in Québec

Online in Québec

Loto-Québec runs its own online site at lotoquebec.com. A player there must be 18 or older, live in Québec and be physically in Québec. A regulatory impact analysis by Québec's Ministry of Finance, from about 2016, called every other online gaming site in Québec illegal.

No licensing regime exists in Québec for private online casino operators, and there is no list of authorized private sites either. Playground runs no online gaming site, and it says any ad claiming it does is fraudulent.

Paid links on this site's home page are marked Ad and lead to a private online casino. It is not lotoquebec.com, nor does Québec operate or license it. Loto-Québec self-exclusion does not apply there, nor do the protections of lotoquebec.com. This site collects a commission from it, though the partner is not fixed and may change. The Online gambling facts page sets out the rest.

Questions diners ask

Can someone under 18 eat at a casino restaurant?

Loto-Québec casinos and gaming halls admit people 18 or older, but the hotel restaurant at the Hilton Lac-Leamy is open to all. The same goes for the four at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu: Le Bellerive, Le Bellerive Café, Le Saint-Laurent and Le Point Cardinal. Pizzéria NO.900 in Québec City is open to all through a separate entrance.

Are restaurant hours the same as casino hours?

This guide never treats them as the same. Restaurant hours appear here as each restaurant or venue publishes them, never worked out from the gaming floor's hours. Where nothing is published, the guide says not published.

Is there food at the Hippodrome 3R?

On race days, the Hippodrome 3R in Trois-Rivières offers fast food and snack service and a self-service buffet restaurant. Its race-day food also includes a Sunday brunch buffet from 11 a.m. and a dinner buffet on Thursday race nights.

How far is Casino du Lac-Leamy from Montréal?

Casino du Lac-Leamy is 169.4 km from Montréal city hall in a straight line. The figure comes from map coordinates, not a driving route, and the guide gives no travel times of its own.

Is this site a casino?

Independent by design, this guide is no casino; bets are not taken and accounts do not exist. Each labelled Ad, the home page's paid links go to an online casino partner and bring in a commission for the site. The partner is open to change, and inner pages hold no paid links.
